Botox (Botulinum Toxin Type A) is a purified protein, that works by blocking nerve impulses which induce excessive muscle contraction. The effect is temporary and lasts for three to six months, depending on the individual patient and indication.
After the Botox treatment, you can continue all normal activities. The result can be seen in two days with the full result in about 10 days.
There are some side effects such as a headache, tenderness at the injection site, redness, bruising and rare ptosis. All side effects are transient and will disappear without any treatment.
